Please MARK YOUR CALENDARS and JOIN US on Wednesday, September 27th, 7:00 pm, in front of West Chester Planned Parenthood as we KICK OFF the 40 Days for Life Fall 2023 Campaign, which runs from September 27th through November 5th. Gather with others as we share in prayer, seeking God’s blessing and inspiration for a focused start to the fall Vigil. We will have free campaign materials to distribute.
KICKOFF DETAILS: 7 - 7:30 pm, in the public right-of-way in front of WC Planned Parenthood: 8 S. Wayne Street West Chester, Pennsylvania 19382. Please remain on the public property side of white property line during Kickoff, and be aware of passing vehicles. Convenient parking is available directly across the street in the lots of the currently closed businesses. Back-up location for inclement weather is St. Agnes Church.
For 40 days Our Lord prayed and fasted in the desert. We are likewise called, in imitation of Christ – to pray, fast, and counter the lies of the evil one as we hold vigil for 40 days each fall and spring in support of the Unborn and the abortion vulnerable of Chester County. “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.” (Mark 10:45)
As of today, the following ten days still need a church or organization to recruit 24 volunteers (two each hour) to hold vigil from 7 am - 7pm: Sat, 9/30; Mon, 10/2; Wed, 10/4; Mon, 10/9; Wed, 10/11; Mon, 10/16; Mon, 10/30; Tues, 10/31; Wed, 11/1; Th, 11/2. If your representative church or organization is able to sponsor one of these available dates please let us know ASAP.
Lastly, thank you for working with our Vigil Coordinators to fill open hours of prayer, and signing up for additional spots as able throughout the campaign.
